About Marriage Ceremony

A Telugu wedding is a sequence of poojas performed at the bride’s and groom’s homes and at the wedding muhurtham. Vediika coordinates a verified priest (one per side) to perform the full vidhi, so the families can focus on the celebration.

How it's performed (vidhi)

  1. 1Pellikoduku / Pellikuthuru — the groom and bride ceremonies, including Haldi / Nalugu (mangala snanam).
  2. 2Ganapati pooja to invoke Lord Ganesha and remove obstacles.
  3. 3Punyahavachanam to purify the home and the family.
  4. 4Gauri pooja seeking Goddess Gauri’s blessings for the bride.
  5. 5Airenla pooja (Basingalu) — tying the sacred basingams.
  6. 6The marriage muhurtham rituals — Kanyadanam, Mangalya dharana, and Saptapadi.
  7. 7Optional post-wedding Satyanarayana Vratam (add-on), traditionally the next morning.

Frequently asked questions

Do I book each wedding pooja separately?

No — it is one booking. Choose one side or both sides, and Vediika assigns and coordinates the priest(s) to perform the full sequence.

What is the difference between one side and both sides?

One side (Rs 20,000) covers the full pooja sequence at one home (bride’s or groom’s) with one priest. Both sides (Rs 35,000) covers both homes with a priest each, who meet at the wedding muhurtham.

How is the priest chosen?

Vediika assigns and coordinates a verified priest for you and confirms the details — you don’t need to pick one.

Is samagri included?

Samagri (materials) is arranged by the family; the priest shares a checklist in advance.
