Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: June 26, 2026
This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled for bookings made on Vediika.
Deposit & payment
To confirm a booking, a deposit (typically 30% of the total) is collected at checkout through our payment provider (Razorpay). The remaining balance is settled as per the booking. Payments are for real-world ritual services, materials, logistics, and coordination.
Cancellation by you
You can cancel a booking from your dashboard. If you cancel well in advance, you are eligible for a refund as per this policy. Cancellations made within 5 hours of the scheduled pooja time are non-refundable, as the pandit and materials are already committed. A booking that has already been rescheduled once is non-refundable if cancelled.
Rescheduling
A booking can be rescheduled once, up to 5 hours before the scheduled time, subject to pandit availability. Use the "Reschedule" option in your dashboard. Rescheduling does not incur an extra charge, but availability is not guaranteed for every date/time.
Cancellation by Vediika or the pandit
If Vediika or the assigned pandit cancels a confirmed booking and we are unable to arrange a suitable replacement, you are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid for that booking.
Refund method & timeline
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay. Once initiated, refunds typically reflect in your account within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. Any non-refundable amounts (e.g. materials already procured or a pandit already dispatched) will be communicated before the refund is processed.
How to request a refund
